Multiple-Equation Bridge Weigh-in-Motion
IABSE Reports, 2013<p>Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) systems are increasingly used to collect data on bridge traffic loading. A knowledge of load is an essential element in any calculation of bridge safety in service. Bridge WIM is the only accurate WIM technology that is portable.

Analysis of Influence factors for Weigh-in-motion
2011 Second International Conference on Mechanic Automation and Control Engineering, 2011The precision of the weigh-in-motion is a very important factor for WIM system in the practice of WIM technology. To improve the precision of WIM, The mathematic model for dynamic weighing technique is established in this paper, followed by WIM practice emphasized in investigating some key factors such as vehicle runs, vehicle speed and temperature to ...

Acceleration-based bridge weigh-in-motion
Bridge Structures, 2019Â Bridge Weigh-in-Motion (B-WIM) is the theory of utilizing field measurements to infer the weights of the overhead traffic that passes at full highway speed. There exist a consensus that conventional instrumentation faces substantial practical problems that halts the feasibility of this theory, namely installation time and complexity, especially for ...

Evaluation of Weigh-In-Motion Systems in Alberta
2012Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) systems are used for dynamic traffic data collection. These sensors are capable of collecting various truck characteristics such as weights, speed, and dimensions. Alberta Transportation (AT) installed 20 WIM sensors in six different highway sections across Alberta in 2004.
