Electron transfer between complexes III and IV in S. cerevisiae mitochondrial membranes
Mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation in S. cerevisiae mitoplasts is limited by complex IV catalytic capacity, rather than two‐dimensional cytochrome c diffusion. At physiological cytochrome c : supercomplex ratios at salinity equivalent to that of 20 mm monovalent salt, activity is maximized, indicating that this low ionic strength accurately mimics

Isometric weighted composition operators [PDF]
A composition operator is an operator on a space of functions defined on the same set. Its action is by composition to the right with a fixed selfmap of that set.

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Toeplitz-Superposition Operators on Analytic Bloch Spaces
The important purpose of this current work is to study a new class of operators, the so-called Toeplitz-superposition operators as an expansion of the weighted known composition operators, induced by such continuous entire functions mapping on bounded ...

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Weighted Composition Operators on H² and Applications [PDF]
Operators on function spaces acting by composition to the right with a fixed selfmap φ of some set are called composition operators of symbol φ. A weighted composition operator is an operator equal to a composition operator followed by a multiplication ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Weighted modular inequalities for monotone functions
Weight characterizations of weighted modular inequalities for operators on the cone of monotone functions are given in terms of composition operators on arbitrary non-negative functions with changes in weights. The results extend to modular inequalities,

Normaloid weighted composition operators on H2 [PDF]
When \ph\ is an analytic self-map of the unit disk with Denjoy-Wolff point $a \in \D$, and $ρ(\W) = ψ(a)$, we give an exact characterization for when \W\ is normaloid. We also determine the spectral radius, essential spectral radius, and essential norm for a class of non-compact composition operators whose symbols have Denjoy-Wolff point in \D.
