On Absolute Weighted Mean Summability Methods

Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society, 1993
The author proved the factor theorem for \(| C,1|_ k \Rightarrow | \overline{N}, p_ n|_ k\), \(k\geq 1\) and \(| \overline{N}, p_ n|_ k \Rightarrow | C,1|_ k\), \(k\geq 1\) under the conditions (i) \(np_ n= O(P_ n)\) and (ii) \(P_ n= O(np_ n)\). \textit{M. The Nörlund and The Weighted Mean Methods

2015
In this chapter, we introduce the Norlund and the Weighted Mean methods in the ultrametric set-up and their properties are elaborately discussed. We also show that the Mazur–Orlicz theorem and Brudno’s theorem fail to hold in the ultrametric case.

A New Weight for Nonlocal Means Denoising Using Method Noise

IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2012
Method noise, i.e., the difference between the noisy image and its denoised version, often contains residual image information due to imperfect denoising methods. In this letter, a novel weight is derived for nonlocal means (NLM) denoising, which tries to exploit the nonlocal similarities of residual image in method noise, and estimates directly the ...

A Tauberian theorem for discrete weighted mean methods

Analysis, 2006
A Tauberian theorem of “slowly decreasing” type is proved for discrete weighted mean methods of summability by reduction to the corresponding Tauberian theorem for weighted mean methods.

An Appropriate Weighting Function for the Nonlocal Means Denosing Method

2011 International Conference on Intelligent Computation and Bio-Medical Instrumentation, 2011
An improvement to the efficiency of the nonlocal means (NLM) denoising method is proposed in this paper. The NLM denoising method replaces each pixel by the weighted average of pixels with the surrounding neighborhoods. We employ a cosine weighting function instead of the original exponential function used in the weight calculation.

Absolute linear method of summation with weighted mean

Journal of Interdisciplinary Mathematics
The study uses a summability method is utilized to characterize the set (|R, pn, δ|k, |R, qn, δ|k) for k ≥ 1 and any arbitrary positive sequences (pn). Advanced results have been derived from previously established findings. This is significant because absolute summability is crucial for assessing the Bounded Input Bounded Output (BIBO) stability of ...
