Calibrated Weighting for Small Area Estimation
Calibrated weighting methods for estimation of survey population characteristics are widely used. At the same time, model-based prediction methods for estimation of small area or domain characteristics are becoming increasingly popular.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Loss-Balanced Task Weighting to Reduce Negative Transfer in Multi-Task Learning
In settings with related prediction tasks, integrated multi-task learning models can often improve performance relative to independent single-task models.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Improving Standard Poststratification Techniques For Random-Digit-Dialing Telephone Surveys
Random-digit-dialing surveys in the United States such as the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) typically poststratify on age, gender and race/ethnicity using control totals from an appropriate source such as the 2000 Census, the Current

Weighting CMB and Galactic synchrotron polarisation
We review the present knowledge of the diffuse Galactic synchrotron emission in polarisation. At microwave frequencies, we assess the expected contamination to the CMB polarisation angular power spectrum, for $E$ and $B$ modes, as expected after the WMAP

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

The effect of events between waves on panel attrition
Panel surveys suffer from attrition. Most panel studies use propensity models or weighting class approaches to correct for non-random dropout. These models draw on variables measured in a previous wave or from paradata of the study. While it is plausible
