Biological Characteristics of Cell Similarity Measure
Similarity measures play an important role in many data analysis fields. However, the current cell similarity measures are poor used in data characteristics. Herein, a novel similarity measure named segment weighting similarity (SWS) is developed for the

Data-driven hypothesis weighting increases detection power in genome-scale multiple testing
Hypothesis weighting improves the power of large-scale multiple testing. We describe independent hypothesis weighting (IHW), a method that assigns weights using covariates independent of the P-values under the null hypothesis but informative of each test'

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

DFW: a novel weighting scheme for covariate balancing and treatment effect estimation
Estimating causal effects from observational data is challenging due to selection bias, which leads to imbalanced covariate distributions across treatment groups.

Maximiser la représentativité de groupes dans un échantillonnage spatial
The crucial problem of representativeness of a sample when realizing a survey, is considered through getting the best chances to avoid getting cases too close to the boundaries of other groups.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

UAV-Based SAR-Imaging of Objects From Arbitrary Trajectories Using Weighted Backprojection
Synthetic aperture radars (SARs) based on uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) are advantageous in comparison to existing airborne systems. Apart from cost, their main advantage is the flexibility of their flight path.

Datos agregados para corregir los sesgos de no respuesta y de cobertura en encuestas
En las últimas décadas la incidencia creciente de los sesgos de no respuesta y cobertura en las encuestas han puesto en entredicho la capacidad de inferir los resultados a la población.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
