Synthesis of band-pass discrete filters

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений. Поволжский регион:Технические науки
Background. The article considers the synthesis of complex and real discrete band-rejection filters (BRRFs) that provide simultaneous processing of an additive mixture of useful and interfering signals coming from the output of a radar receiver.

An efficient clustering method using weighting coefficients in homogeneous wireless sensor networks

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2018
Due to the type of applications, wireless sensor nodes must always be energy efficient and small. Hence, the presence of constraints such as the limitation of energy resource is inevitable.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Wireless Sensor Network Localization Incorporating Gray Wolf Optimization and DV-Hop Algorithm

open access: yesIEEE Access
The rapid advancement of wireless sensor networks has made network node localization technology a crucial area of study. However, the current network node localization methods have low accuracy.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...
