Weightless: Lossy Weight Encoding For Deep Neural Network Compression [PDF]
The large memory requirements of deep neural networks limit their deployment and adoption on many devices. Model compression methods effectively reduce the memory requirements of these models, usually through applying transformations such as weight pruning or quantization.

An Integrated Analysis of the Physiological Effects of Space Flight: Executive Summary [PDF]
A large array of models were applied in a unified manner to solve problems in space flight physiology. Mathematical simulation was used as an alternative way of looking at physiological systems and maximizing the yield from previous space flight ...

The Regulation of Trace Metal Elements in Cancer Ferroptosis
The induction of ferroptosis inhibits tumor growth, enhances anticancer efficacy, and overcomes drug resistance. Recent evidence shows nonferrous metal elements play a role in ferroptosis. This review focuses on how trace metals regulate ferroptosis processes like iron accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant defense.

Description, validation, and modification of the Guyton model for space-flight applications. Part A. Guyton model of circulatory, fluid and electrolyte control. Part B. Modification of the Guyton model for circulatory, fluid and electrolyte control [PDF]
The mathematical model that has been a cornerstone for the systems analysis of space-flight physiological studies is the Guyton model describing circulatory, fluid and electrolyte regulation.

High Performance Electrostatic Sensors and Actuators for LISA Proof Mass Control [PDF]
This document contains two presentations which describe the working principles of a class of electrostatic multidimensional sensors and force actuators. The subject of the study is the search of the most effective methods for measuring the position of a cubical conducting proof mass which floats in a weightless environment.

Hybrid water immersion simulation of manual IVA performance in weightlessness [PDF]
A description is given of the development, tests, and analysis of a manual simulator. The simulator was developed to test mass handling and translation under weightlessness conditions by a test subject. The system is composed of a hybrid simulator with a

Validation of a model for investigating red cell mass changes during weightlessness [PDF]
The model, both the conceptual model and simulation model, provided a convenient framework on which to demonstrate the commonality between such diverse stresses as descent from altitude, red cell infusions, bed rest, and weightlessness.

Weyl-parallel forms, conformal products and Einstein-Weyl manifolds [PDF]
Motivated by the study of Weyl structures on conformal manifolds admitting parallel weightless forms, we define the notion of conformal product of conformal structures and study its basic properties. We obtain a classification of Weyl manifolds carrying parallel forms, and we use it to investigate the holonomy of the adapted Weyl connection on ...

The behavior of renal-regulating hormones during hypogravic stress [PDF]
The regulation of fluid and electrolyte behavior during space flight is believed to be under control, in large part, of a group of hormones which have their major effects on renal excretion. The hormones studied include renin-angitensin, aldosterone, and
