Deciphering Freeze–Thaw Dynamics In Rockwalls: A Novel Approach for High Accuracy Regional‐Scale Modeling

ABSTRACT Using a large and novel array of instruments on five rockwalls in northern Gaspesia, their respective surface energy balances were calculated and their thermal regimes were measured and modeled to depths exceeding the seasonal frost penetration.

Status and future of seed conservation of threatened plants in the post‐2020 era

Ambitious targets have been set to backup seeds of threatened plants by the global strategy for plant conservation (GSPC), but it is unclear in how far these targets have been met and how seed collection should be organized to meet future challenges. Here, we provide an overview of the status of 44 countries in achieving seed conservation targets.

First genome sequence of a European Alternaria brassicae isolate and genes involved in early development of alternaria leaf spot on Brassica juncea

This article reports the first genome sequence of a UK Alternaria brassicae isolate. Dual RNA‐sequencing profiling of A. brassicae‐infected Brassica juncea leaves identified differentially expressed genes involved in pathogenicity and host response pathways in moderately resistant Sej‐2 (2) and moderately susceptible Pusa Jaikisan cultivars.
