Partial Phase‐Separation in the Initial Growth Stage of Exsolution‐Active SrTi0.95‐xNi0.05NbxO3‐δ Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phase separation emerges during the initial growth of heavily Ni‐ and Ni,Nb‐co‐doped STO thin films, leading to preferential accumulation of Ni and embedded NiOx nanoinclusions in thicker films. Nb co‐doping partially suppresses the ordering of these embedded structures, comprising about 20% of all Ni ions.

Scrub typhus with secondary haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Scientific Research, 2017
A male agricultural worker, aged 50 years was admitted with fever of 60 days. He had generalized weakness and headache. He was febrile. Anaemia (haemoglobin 11.7g/dL) and thrombocytopenia (platelet count 80,000/mm3) were evident.

Solution‐Shearing of Highly Smooth Ion‐Gel Thin Films: Facilitating the Deposition of Organic Semiconductors for Ion‐Gated Organic Field Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 6, May 2025.
A straightforward method is introduced to produce ion‐gel films with very low surface roughness by employing a solution‐shearing coating process. These ion‐gel films permit the growth of crystalline thin films of various small molecule organic semiconductor molecules directly on top of the ion‐gel layer, thereby enabling “inverted” small molecule ...

Extrinsic and Intrinsic Charge Transfer at Interfaces of Membrane‐Based Oxide Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Freestanding oxides have emerged as a new opportunity to tailor oxides outside of the typical epitaxial constraints. We present the fabrication of TiO2‐terminated SrTiO3 membranes via direct growth control. We demonstrate competing ionic and electronic charge transfer in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 bilayers using near ambient pressure XPS.

A Rare Case of Scrub Typhus Presenting as Pre Septal Cellulitis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research
Scrub typhus, a vector-borne disease caused by Orientia tsutsugamushi, is known for its diverse clinical manifestations. However, atypical presentations, such as preseptal cellulitis, are rarely documented and pose diagnostic challenges.

Immunological Properties of Weil-Felix Test Negative Sera from Patients with Japanese Spotted Fever

open access: yesJournal of the Japanese Association for Infectious Diseases, 1995
Sera from 4 out of 19 patients with the Japanese spotted fever were negative to OX2 antigen of Weil-Felix (WF) test. These WF test negative sera were analyzed by ELISA and immunoblot used whole cells and lipopolysaccharides (LPS) of rickettsiae and Proteus strains as antigens. These acute-phase sera have already possessed the IgG antibodies against LPS

The Influence of Residual Ion Drift During Programming of Chip‐Integrated Nanoscale HfO2‐Based Memristive Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
1T1R‐arrays combining filamentary‐type memristors and CMOS transistors offer great potential for energy‐efficient analog hardware accelerators. Here, transient SET analysis of nanoscale HfO2 memristors integrated on 180 nm CMOS wafers is discussed.

Scrub Typhus with Unusual Presentation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Preventive Medicine, 2014
Scrub typhus is an acute, febrile zoonosis caused by an obligate intracellular bacterium Orientia tsutsugamushi. The clinical manifestations of the disease range from subclinical to fatal organ failure.

Prevalence and risk factors of scrub typhus infection: Findings from a cross-sectional study in a rural setting in southern Tamil Nadu, India

open access: yesClinical Epidemiology and Global Health
Problem considered: Scrub typhus is a significant yet underdiagnosed cause of acute febrile illness in rural areas, where limited diagnostics and overlapping symptoms hinder timely detection. Existing evidence is largely hospital-based, with minimal data
