Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Sonic Log Prediction Based on Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) Machine Learning Algorithm by Using Well Log Data [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
Sonic log is an important aspect that provides a detailed description of the subsurface properties associated with oil and gas reservoirs. The problem that frequently occurs is the unavailability of sonic log data for various reasons needs to be given an

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Galaxy Groups in the SDSS DR4: II. halo occupation statistics

open access: yes, 2007
We investigate various halo occupation statistics using a large galaxy group catalogue constructed from the SDSS DR4 with an adaptive halo-based group finder. The conditional luminosity function (CLF) is measured separately for all, red and blue galaxies,

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Total organic carbon evaluation using geophysical well-logs in Lorraine Coal Basin (NE France)

open access: yesBSGF - Earth Sciences Bulletin
The Lorraine Coal Basin, recognized as the most promising coal bed methane basin in France, holds significance for the energy transition after more than a century of coal mining until 2004 and renewed interest in oil and gas exploration in the 80 s and ...

Gut microbiota diversity is prognostic in metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this exploratory study, we investigated the relationship between the gut microbiota and outcome in patients with metastatic hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, treated in a randomized clinical trial with chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy in combination with immune checkpoint blockade.

Well logging overview [PDF]

open access: yesConcepts in Magnetic Resonance, 2001
into the NMR properties of fluids in porous media laid a firm fundamental basis for interpretation of NMR relaxation in later NMR logging data. These developments are described in Part 1. The next technological development was the invention, at Los Alamos, of permanent magnet/pulsed radio frequency (RF) NMR well logging in 1978.

Estimating Sensor Motion from Wide-Field Optical Flow on a Log-Dipolar Sensor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Log-polar image architectures, motivated by the structure of the human visual field, have long been investigated in computer vision for use in estimating motion parameters from an optical flow vector field. Practical problems with this approach have been:
