EFFECT OF LEAF RUST ON THE YIELD OF RESISTANT WHEATS [PDF]
Heavy infection of leaf rust initiated at an early stage of plant development materially reduced the yield, kernel weight and bushel weight of one susceptible and three resistant varieties of wheat. The yield loss in the susceptible variety was 58 per cent whereas in the resistant varieties it ranged from 12 to 28 per cent.

This study provides evidence that the timing of co‐inoculation of Leptosphaeria maculans and Leptosphaeria biglobosa determine the outcome of interspecific competition and disease development on their host oilseed rape. Abstract BACKGROUND Phoma stem canker is one of the most economically damaging diseases of oilseed rape, caused by co‐existing fungal ...

Understanding how infection timing drives disease is essential for the development of fungicide resistance management strategies. For blackleg disease of canola, all infection timings can contribute to the following generation, therefore all fungicide applications have the ability to select for resistance.

The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

UAV RGB Imagery as an Early-Warning Tool of Wheat Rust Pathogen-Induced Physiological Changes
Remote sensing of crop diseases has traditionally focused on detecting visible symptoms, often limiting intervention to advanced stages of epidemic development.

Puccinia triticina f. sp. tritici (Eriks.), the causal agent of leaf rust, causes substantial yield losses in wheat production. In wheat many major leaf rust resistance genes have been overcome by virulent races. In contrast, the prehaustorial resistance
