Optimisation Of Lignin Peroxidase Production From Pycnoporus Sp. [PDF]
Ligninase or lignin peroxidase is gaining importance for their biotechnology application due to its integral role in the biodegradation of lignin, lignin related aromatic compounds and the potential use in industrial processes such as biopulping ...

Co‐application of Bacillus strains TM22 and MCM61 suppressed Fusarium wilt of cotton. Seed biopriming with Bacillus strains performed better than soil drenching. TM22 + MCM61 improved vegetative and physiological aspects in cotton plants. TM22 + MCM61 enhanced the activity of defense enzymes and defense gene expression.

ABSTRACT Modern agriculture faces the dual challenge of maintaining high yields while minimising environmental impact, all under increasingly difficult climatic conditions. Practices such as intercropping and mulching have demonstrated potential to improve resource use efficiency, but their effects on crop performance and soil microbial communities ...

Volatile organic compounds emitted from fungal-rotting beech (Fagus sylvatica) [PDF]
Chemo-communication is an important mode of interaction within ecosystem. The living organism in the ecosystem can deliver signals to conspecifics, to co-organisms, and unintentionally to their enemies, by emitting the volatile organic compounds (VOCs ...

Abstract Phytophthora crown rot, caused by Phytophthora cactorum, is a soilborne disease with broad impacts on cultivated strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa). A resistance locus, RPc2, was previously identified in octoploid strawberries, but the underlying genomic architecture and causal genes remained uncharacterized.

Abstract Pawpaw (Asimina triloba) is the only fruit‐producing tree of the soursop (custard apple) family Annonaceae that is native to temperate North America. Pawpaws are extensively cultivated in the northeast United States, but to date, there are few genetic resources and no publicly available genome assemblies.
