Experimental Characterization of Mycelium‐Based Composites Under Multiple Loading Conditions
This study examines the mechanical response of mycelium‐based composites under compression, shear, and tension using mechanical testing and imaging methods. The comparison between unpressed and hot‐pressed specimens shows that hot pressing is associated with higher compression and shear stiffnesses.

Associative white matter tracts selectively predict sensorimotor learning
Human learning varies greatly among individuals and is related to the microstructure of major white matter tracts in several learning domains, yet the impact of the existing microstructure of white matter tracts on future learning outcomes remains ...

Cortical thinning and microstructural integrity disruption in white matter hyperintensities
Background: The relationships between white matter microstructure, cortical atrophy, and cognitive function in cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD)-related white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) patients are unclear. Methods: 71 right-handed WMHs patients (

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

We sometimes vividly remember things that did not happen, a phenomenon with general relevance, not only in the courtroom. It is unclear to what extent individual differences in false memories are driven by anatomical differences in memory-relevant brain ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

Multianalyte, real‐time monitoring of bioprinted scaffolds remains challenging. Phosphorescence‐lifetime–based, optically responsive microparticles are embedded in diverse printable hydrogels (κ‐carrageenan, GelMA, PEGDA) to form biomaterial inks that report oxygen, glucose, lactate, and temperature.

White matter microstructure alterations of the medial forebrain bundle in melancholic depression
BACKGROUND The medial forebrain bundle (MFB) is a key structure of the reward system and connects the ventral tegmental area (VTA) with the nucleus accumbens (NAcc), the medial and lateral orbitofrontal cortex (mOFC, lOFC) and the dorsolateral ...
