Effect of Maintenance at Different Salinity Against White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV) Infection Level in Post Larvae Litopenaeus Vannamei Shrimp [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
White spot syndrime virus (WSSV) is a highly contagious disease in shrimp culture and causing 100% death within 3-10 days of clinical symptoms. WSSV can infect shrimp in post larvae stage (PL) to a size of 40 g.

PD‐L1‐Binding Antigen Presenters: Redirecting Vaccine‐Induced Antibodies for Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The PBAP‐gE complex anchors gE antigen to PD‐L1 on tumor cells. Vaccine‐induced anti‐gE antibodies simultaneously engage FcγRIIIa on NK cells and tumor‐bound PBAP‐gE, triggering NK cell activation and antibody‐dependent cellular cytotoxicity, thereby selectively eliminating PD‐L1–expressing tumor cells.

Exploring the Vasculitis‐Tumors Link: Epidemiological Patterns, Mechanistic Insights, and Clinical Implications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review outlines association between vasculitis and malignancies and provides practical value for clinicians in distinguishing primary vasculitis from malignancy‐associated forms and optimizing patient surveillance, improving recognition of tumor‐associated vasculitis to reduce the risk of misdiagnosis, supporting more accurate clinical decision ...

The effect of created hemolymph apoptosis on WSSV Gamma-vaccinated shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei in WSSV disease control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
White spot syndrome virus (WSSV) is the causative agent responsible for huge-shrimp viral epidemics in shrimp farms throughout the world. Our study was aimed to determine the effect of WSSV Gamma-vaccinated Litopenaeus vannamei on the occurrence of ...

A novel envelope protein involved in White spot syndrome virus infection

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 2005
One open reading frame (designated vp76) from the White spot syndrome virus (WSSV) genome has the motif of a cytokine I receptor and has been identified as a structural protein. In this paper, vp76 was expressed in Escherichia coli and used to prepare a specific antibody to determine the location of the corresponding protein in the intact virion, the ...

Engineering Tertiary Lymphoid Structures: Nanomedicine, Bioengineering, and Biomaterials for Precision Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
This review explains how biomaterials and nanoparticles can be used to induce or modulate tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs), which are ectopic immune hubs that form in nonlymphoid tissues during chronic disease and cancer. By comparing different methods, the article highlights design principles for modeling TLSs or recapitulating specific TLS ...

Effectivity of prebiotic mannan oligosaccharides as the immunity enhancer and growth response on whiteleg shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei against white spot disease

open access: yesJurnal Akuakultur Indonesia, 2018
This study aimed to evaluate the immune response and growth performance of white shrimp administered with prebiotic mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) with dosages of (0%, 0.2%, 0.4%, and 0.8% in diet) and used in the feeding trial.

Skeletal pathologies in extant crocodilians as a window into the paleopathology of fossil archosaurs

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Crocodilians, together with birds, are the only extant relatives to many extinct archosaur groups, making them highly important for interpreting paleopathological conditions in a phylogenetic disease bracketing model. Despite this, comprehensive data on osteopathologies in crocodilians remain scarce.
