Multi‐Goal‐Oriented Anisotropic Error Control and Mesh Adaptivity for Time‐Dependent Convection‐Dominated Problems

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT In this work, we present an anisotropic multi‐goal error control based on the dual weighted residual (DWR) method for time‐dependent convection–diffusion–reaction (CDR) equations. Motivated by former work, we combine multiple goals to single error functionals with weights chosen as algorithmic parameters.

Relationship between food quality and body size of common vole in different habitats

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 6, Page 5206-5215, June 2026.
The body size of the common vole in crop fields (alfalfa, rape, cereals) is larger than in less‐cultivated habitats (forests, clearings, set‐aside) and is not related to food quality. Abstract BACKGROUND There is a close relationship between habitat, food and demographic parameters of common vole populations.

Control failure risk, resistance and enzymatic activity of neurotoxic insecticides in Brazilian populations of Leucoptera coffeella (Lepidoptera: Lyonetiidae)

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 6, Page 5757-5766, June 2026.
Bioassays of 36 Leucoptera coffeella populations revealed resistance to neurotoxic insecticides, control failures of ≤62.9% and enzyme activity variation, with particularly high GST and low AChE levels. Abstract Background Leucoptera coffeella is a key pest of coffee crops in Brazil, causing significant damage by mining coffee leaves.

M. E. Grant Duff, Philosophic Liberalism and the Global Liberal Cause

open access: yesHistory, Volume 111, Issue 396, Page 347-368, June 2026.
Abstract Historians disagree about how best to conceptualize nineteenth‐century British Liberalism in relation to its international contexts. This article argues that we can better understand the patterns involved by interrogating individuals who bridged the worlds of partisan politics and elaborated thought.
