The Stellar Angular Correlation: Clues to Wide Binary Star Properties
Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, 1993The angular distribution of stars brighter than visual magnitude 14 is analyzed for evidence of gravitationally bound systems with widely separated components. Binary stars with separations on the order of 0.1 parsec are interesting as probes of Galactic dynamics, disk dark matter, the Oort comet cloud, and the postulated solar companion star, Nemesis.

Dense circumstellar nebulae in wide binary central stars
2015Detection of close binary central stars with periods of less than a day is now well-tested and routinely possible via photometric monitoring. For wide binary central stars with periods of weeks to years detection techniques are still in their infancy. Radial velocity monitoring programs are yet to be applied to very large samples and the method suffers
