Individual-Based Models Reveal Population Recovery and Impacts of Woodland Creation on Pine Martens (<i>Martes martes</i>) in Britain. [PDF]

We used a calibrated individual‐based model to explore the reintroduction of pine martens to Britain and whether woodland creation can be targeted to improve pine marten dispersal. We find that the reintroduction programme is successful into the near future, even if it does not appear to form a single unified population.

An alternative approach to ideal Wijsman convergence

Summary: The concept of Wijsman convergence of a sequence of sets was defined using the pointwise convergence of the sequence of distance functions. Based on this idea, in this article, a new type of set convergence is obtained by using the concept of ideal \(\alpha\)-convergence for the sequence of distance functions.
