Garrett, AM, a true pioneer in the application of diagnostic ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology, passed away peacefully at age 87 at his home in Sydney on November 5, 2015. Bill, as he was known by his friends, graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney in 1951.
