Astragaloside IV Restores Autophagy and Inhibits Apoptosis for Podocyte Protection in Diabetic Nephropathy by Inhibiting Notch1 Signaling via SIRT6‐Mediated Deacetylation

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
AS‐IV binds to SIRT6 and promotes H3K9 deacetylation at the Notch1 promoter, inhibiting gene transcription (Created with BioGDP.com). ABSTRACT Astragaloside IV (AS‐IV) has demonstrated efficacy in ameliorating proteinuria and attenuating renal tubular damage in preclinical diabetic nephropathy (DN) models.

Mogroside V Promotes Brown Adipose Thermogenesis via FTO‐m6A‐LETMD1‐UCP1 Pathway to Combat Obesity

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
Mogroside V (MV) alleviates high‐fat diet‐induced obesity and metabolic dysfunction. Mechanistically, MV suppresses FTO expression, thereby increasing m6A modification of Letmd1 mRNA and enhancing its YTHDC2‐dependent stabilization. Theincreased LETMD1 expression is associated with elevated PGC1α and UCP1 levels, contributing to brown adipocyte ...

Lessons from a patient with cardiac arrest due to massive pulmonary embolism as the initial presentation of Wilms tumor: a case report and literature review

open access: yesBMC Pediatrics, 2019
Background Finding an abdominal mass or hematuria is the initial step in diagnosing Wilms tumor. As the first manifestation of Wilms tumor, it is exceedingly rare for pulmonary tumor embolism to present with cardiac arrest.

Interventional oncology in children: Where are we now?

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
Abstract Paediatric Interventional Oncology (IO) lags behind adult IO due to a scarcity of specific outcome data. The suboptimal way to evolve this field is relying heavily on adult experiences. The distinct tumour types prevalent in children, such as extracranial germ cell tumours, sarcomas, and neuroblastoma, differ strongly from those found in ...

Fetal programming and Wilms tumor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
BACKGROUND: The "fetal programming" hypothesis has been evaluated in many adult diseases including cancer, but not for Wilms tumor. Wilms tumor has been related to high birthweight, but little is known about other growth metrics such as a baby's birth ...

Treatment-independent miRNA signature in blood of wilms tumor patients

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2012
Background Blood-born miRNA signatures have recently been reported for various tumor diseases. Here, we compared the miRNA signature in Wilms tumor patients prior and after preoperative chemotherapy according to SIOP protocol 2001.

m6A‐Related Regulation of Ferroptosis Contributes to Nasal Epithelial Barrier Dysfunction in Allergic Rhinitis

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study uses human nasal epithelial cells and BALB/c mice to evaluate the role and molecular mechanism of ferroptosis in HDM‐induced AR, focusing on ferroptosis‐related responses and nasal epithelial barrier disruption. HDM exposure induces lipid peroxidation‐driven ferroptosis and epithelial barrier disruption.
