Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Blade Surface Pressure Measurements in the Field and Their Usage for Aerodynamic Model Validation

open access: yesWind Energy
This study presents results from a long‐term measurement campaign on a research wind turbine in the field. Pressure measurements are conducted at 25% blade radius over several months.

Performance analysis of a small wind turbine mounted inside a tall building

open access: yes, 2016
Using CFD simulations, a small conventional horizontal axis wind turbine (HAWT) Ampair 300 was installed in a confined flow space: through-building openings embedded at different levels of a tall building. The openings were located at 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 and 5/

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Wind analysis for wind power: Part III

open access: yesMAUSAM, 1981
The paper contains frequency distribution of hourly values of winds of Jamnagar in north Saurashtra in the four ranges, viz., light, moderate, strong and very strong with the objective of utilization of energy from winds for the wind mills. Monthwise frequency distribution is also presented.

Dynamic response of temporary structures due to wind loading

open access: yes, 2015
Due to the lack of an international standard for the design of temporary stage structures, there have been several instances where temporary stage structures have failed and resulted in injury or death during strong wind events (Tomasetti, 2012).

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...
