Study effect of extreme wind direction change on 3-bladed horizontal axis wind turbine

open access: yesInternational Journal of Renewable Energy Development, 2019
The Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines (HAWT) are used very popular in the world. They were installed mainly on land. However, on the land, the wind regime change is very complex such as high turbulence and constantly changing wind direction.

Mapping Wind Directions with HF Radar

open access: yesOceanography, 1997
BESIDES THE MEASUREMENT of ocean surface currents, high-frequency (HF) radar has also been demonstrated to be effective at measuring the wind direction at scales on the order of one to several kilometers and over areas of millions of square kilometers in the case of sky-wave HF radars (Georges et al.

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

FORECASTING WIND DIRECTION IN ALOR SETAR USING MACHINE LEARNING TIME SERIES MODELS WITH TRIGONOMETRIC TRANSFORMATION

open access: yesBarekeng
Forecasting wind direction is inherently challenging due to its circular nature, where conventional numerical models often encounter discontinuities at the 0°/360° boundary.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

DIREÇÃO E VELOCIDADE DO VENTO EM UMA FLORESTA DE TRANSIÇÃO AMAZÔNIA-CERRADO NO NORTE DE MATO GROSSO, BRASIL

open access: yesBoletim Goiano de Geografia, 2011
The objective of the work was to determine the predominant wind direction and speed in a region of rain Amazon-Savanna transition forest, located approximately 50 km from the city of Sinop, in northern Mato Grosso, Brazil. The daily directions wind and ...

ASSESSMENT OF COASTAL EROSION RELATED TO WIND CHARACTERISTICS IN PENINSULAR MALAYSIA [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Science and Technology, 2018
Malaysia is a maritime country that is located north of the Equator. Hence, it is prone to monsoon changes all the time. Monsoon in Malaysia has contributed to a lot of wind-related disaster.

Climatic Change of Summer Wind Direction and Its Impact on Hydrodynamic Circulation in the Pearl River Estuary

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2022
Assessing the trend of sea surface wind is important for understanding the response of the marine environment to climate change. Analysis of wind data reveals that the summer wind direction in the Pearl River Estuary (PRE) shifts anticlockwise at a rate ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...
