Wind loads on wind-permeable building facades
Journal of Wind Engineering and Industrial Aerodynamics, 1983Abstract This paper describes some significant results of a comprehensive study of wind loads on wind-permeable facades of low-rise buildings. The investigation was undertaken to provide wind load information for the design of elements of wind-permeable facades and the design of their fixation to the wind-impermeable building walls.

Abstract A wind-tunnel study has been carried out to assess wind loads on parapets of two buildings. Local pressure coefficients were measured on models with a length to height ratio ( L / H ) of 1:1 and 2:1. Most of the results were obtained for full-scale equivalent parapet heights of 1 and 2 m and for wind directions of 0°, 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°

Abstract The problem of dynamic alongwind response of structures to forces induced by atmospheric turbulence is treated in this paper. This study analyses the behavior of structures which can be idealized as one of the two standard models respective called “point-like” and “three-dimensional”.

Control of Energy-Intensive Load for Power Smoothing in Wind Power Plants
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2018Uncertainty of the wind power output is the main influence factor for wind power utilization in the bulk power system. Because of the large capacity and the load characteristic, energy-intensive load holds great potentials to share the burden of wind ...

Wind loading and wind barriers
2007One of the sections of the highway connecting the cities Zagreb and Split is 25 kilometers long. This is the section running between the Tunnel Sveti Rok to the Maslenica Interchange. It passes through rough relief where the Velebit Mountain and the Adriatic coast meet. This is actually the main reason for the strong wind genesis.

Synopsis. From a review of existing knowledge of wind loads it is clear that, although many observations of wind velocities and pressures have been made, it is difficult to estimate their true significance with reference to the derivation of design loads.
