Abstract Sulfur dioxide–sulfites (E 220–228) were re‐evaluated in 2016, resulting in the setting of a temporary ADI of 0.7 mg SO2 equivalents/kg bw per day. Following a European Commission call for data, the present follow‐up opinion assesses data provided by interested business operators (IBOs) and additional evidence identified in the publicly ...

Safety assessment of titanium dioxide (E171) as a food additive
Abstract The present opinion deals with an updated safety assessment of the food additive titanium dioxide (E 171) based on new relevant scientific evidence considered by the Panel to be reliable, including data obtained with TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) and data from an extended one‐generation reproductive toxicity (EOGRT) study.

Abstract Climate change will affect both the mean state and seasonality of marine physical and biogeochemical properties, with important implications for the oceanic sink of atmospheric CO2. Here, we investigate the seasonal cycle of the air‐sea exchange of CO2 and pCO2,sw (surface seawater pCO2) and their long term changes using the CMIP6 submission ...

Studying gaugino masses in supersymmetric model at future 100 TeV pp collider
We discuss prospects of studying supersymmetric model at future pp circular collider (FCC) with its centre-of-mass energy of ∼ 100 TeV. We pay particular attention to the model in which Wino is lighter than other supersymmetric particles and all the ...

The electroweak (EW) sector of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) can account for a variety of experimental data. The EW particles with masses of a few hundred GeV evade the LHC searches owing to their small production cross sections.

Extension of use of lycopene (E 160d) to certain meat preparations, meat products and fruit and vegetable preparations. [PDF]
Abstract The present scientific opinion deals with the safety of the extension of use of lycopene (E 160d) in certain meat preparations, meat products and fruit and vegetable preparations. Lycopene (E 160d) is an authorised food additive in the EU for use in several food categories and an acceptable daily intake (ADI) of 0.5 mg/kg body weight (bw) per ...

Probing Bino-Wino coannihilation at the LHC [PDF]
We study bino-wino coannihilation scenario in the so-called spread or mini-split supersymmetry. We show that, in this model, a neutral wino has a macroscopic decay length in a wide range of parameter space. This characteristic feature could be observed as a displaced vertex plus missing transverse energy event at the LHC.
