Interplay Between MW, ΩCDMh2, and (g − 2)μ in Flavor Symmetry–Based Supersymmetric Models

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
We study the phenomenological implications of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) augmented by a nonabelian flavor symmetry labeled as sMSSM. Incorporating this flavor symmetry allows for a significant reduction in the original plethora of free parameters present in the MSSM, ultimately reducing them down to just seven in sMSSM.

Searches for Prompt R‐Parity‐Violating Supersymmetry at the LHC

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2015, Issue 1, 2015., 2015
Searches for supersymmetry (SUSY) at the LHC frequently assume the conservation of R‐parity in their design, optimization, and interpretation. In the case that R‐parity is not conserved, constraints on SUSY particle masses tend to be weakened with respect to R‐parity‐conserving models.

Non-perturbative Effect on Thermal Relic Abundance of Dark Matter

open access: yes, 2006
We point out that thermal relic abundance of the dark matter is strongly altered by a non-perturbative effect called the Sommerfeld enhancement, when constituent particles of the dark matter are non-singlet under the SU(2)_L gauge interaction and much ...

Leaving the gang is good for your health: A stress process perspective on disengagement from gangs

open access: yesCriminology, Volume 62, Issue 3, Page 503-550, August 2024.
Abstract During the last decade, health criminology—the study of health outcomes for justice‐involved individuals and their families—has gained traction in the field. We extend health criminology to the study of street gangs by drawing on the stress process perspective.

A Novel Dynamic Update Framework for Epileptic Seizure Prediction

open access: yesBioMed Research International, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
Epileptic seizure prediction is a difficult problem in clinical applications, and it has the potential to significantly improve the patients’ daily lives whose seizures cannot be controlled by either drugs or surgery. However, most current studies of epileptic seizure prediction focus on high sensitivity and low false‐positive rate only and lack the ...

An investigation of politicians' responses to urban diversity and disadvantage: The case of the Danish ‘parallel societies’

open access: yesBritish Journal of Social Psychology, Volume 63, Issue 1, Page 186-204, January 2024.
Abstract We examine how Danish politicians articulate views on the ‘parallel society agreement’ (aka, the ‘ghetto‐laws’), a controversial legislative intervention aiming to manage urban migration‐related diversity. Through nationwide urban redevelopment aimed at facilitating residential ‘mixing’, the goal of the legislation is to eliminate so‐called ...

Search for electroweak production of charginos and neutralinos at s=13TeV in final states containing hadronic decays of WW, WZ, or WH and missing transverse momentum

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2023
This Letter presents a search for direct production of charginos and neutralinos via electroweak interactions. The results are based on data from proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected with the CMS detector at the LHC ...

Ostatnia Wieczerza i poszukiwanie świętego Graala

open access: yesWrocławski Przegląd Teologiczny, 2014
In my opinion there are a few themes which succeeded in receiving so many literary, artistic and even scientific analysis as Grail. A look at this reality is full of controversy and extremes.

e+ e- Cross Section and Exclusion of Massless Electroweak Gauginos [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Measurements of the total hadronic cross section in e+e- annihilation are shown to be capable of severely limiting the possibility that gauginos have negligible tree level masses.

Indirect detection analysis: wino dark matter case study [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, 2014
We perform a multichannel analysis of the indirect signals for the Wino Dark Matter, including one-loop electroweak and Sommerfeld enhancement corrections. We derive limits from cosmic ray antiprotons and positrons, from continuum galactic and extragalactic diffuse gamma-ray spectra, from the absence of gamma-ray line features at the galactic center ...
