On the Formation and Dynamics of Micro Dew Droplets on Grass: the Role of Epicuticular Wax
Despite their familiar appearance, dew droplets on grass emerge from a finely tuned interplay between environmental factors and surface architecture. Microscale analysis uncovers a key role of epicuticular wax micromorphologies in promoting the nucleation and growth of spherical droplets on the biphilic leaves of wheatgrass.
