Viscous Creep of Gold Wires Near the Melting Point
JOM, 1952Gold wires, 5 mil in diam, are found to creep viscously up to approximately 5.5×105 dynes per sq cm around 1300°K. Beyond this point, an additional slip mechanism appears. The average coefficient in the viscous range at these temperatures is 18.9 ± 7×1012 poises.

Study of melting characteristics of wire in laser cladding process
PICALO 2006: 2nd Pacific International Conference on Laser Materials Processing, Micro, Nano and Ultrafast Fabrication, 2006Laser cladding is becoming an attractive process for the repair and hardfacing of high-value components. The consumables used for these cladding processes are usually metallic powders due to the ease of operation. However, the use of metal powder is generally limited to downhand position cladding process. Wire can also be used in laser cladding process

Analysis of Copper Wires Short Circuited Melted Mark
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014This paper described the microstructure feature of the first short circuit and the second short circuit of copper wires in the electrical equipment line fire. The cause of fire is evaluated and analyzed by the difference in microstructure between the first short circuit and the second short circuit of copper wire.
