Task-Oriented Edge Networks: Decentralized Learning Over Wireless Fronthaul
This paper studies task-oriented edge networks where multiple edge internet-of-things nodes execute machine learning tasks with the help of powerful deep neural networks (DNNs) at a network cloud. Separate edge nodes (ENs) result in a partially observable system where they can only get partitioned features of the global network states.

CU Placement over a Reconfigurable Wireless Fronthaul in 5G Networks with Functional Splits
Mobile network operators are currently facing a tremendous increase in the level of data traffic. Although cell size reduction is one of the most common ways used to accommodate such traffic demand, densely deployed small cells also dramatically increase

An efficient algorithm for resource optimization in TWDM passive optical network using a C-RAN
The traditional base station in C-RAN is divided into three parts: a pool of centralized baseband units (BBUs), a fronthaul network that links the BBUs and remote radio units (RRUs), and RRUs.

Pipelined Fronthaul-Edge Content Delivery in Fog Radio Access Networks
In a Fog Radio Access Network (F-RAN), content delivery is carried out using both edge caching and cloud processing. A key design question for F-RANs hence concerns the optimal use of edge and cloud resources. In this work, this problem is addressed from
