Epilepsy surgery: From bench to the clinics
Abstract Objective Recent advances in epilepsy surgery in patients with intractable epilepsy make it possible to study the mechanism of epilepsy in human brains. However, the true extent and propagation of each epileptogenic area from the epileptogenic focus in each patient is still difficult to perform “epilepsy cure” by surgery.

Clock gene dysregulation in epilepsy: A systematic review
Abstract Objective Epileptic seizures show a rhythmic pattern, being more frequent at particular times of the day (e.g., only occurring during sleep), suggesting a role of the circadian rhythm. Clock genes regulate the circadian rhythm and might be involved in the pathophysiology of epilepsy.

Passive-avoidance behavior in Wistar-Kyoto (WKY), Wistar, and Fischer-344 rats
In Experiment 1, Wistar-Kyoto (WKY), Wistar, and Fischer-344 (F-344) rats were tested on two passive-avoidance tasks: a platform step-down task and a one-way avoidance task. Wistars had shorter response latency scores in the step-down task, whereas F-344 rats had shorter scores in the one-way task.

The underutilized parts viz: pawpaw seed, banana, plantain, and potato peels showed promising antioxidant and inhibition of α‐amylase and α‐glucosidase activities (IC50 values ≤ 100 μg/mL). Similarly, pawpaw seed, banana, plantain, and potato peels reduced postprandial hyperglycemia in sucrose‐ and maltose‐induced hyperglycemia in rats.
