The basic geometry of Witt vectors, I: The affine case [PDF]
We give a concrete description of the category of etale algebras over the ring of Witt vectors of a given finite length with entries in an arbitrary ring.

BASES FOR QUANTUM ALGEBRAS AND SKEW POINCARÉ-BIRKHOFF-WITT EXTENSIONS
Considering quantum algebras and skew Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt (PBW for short) extensions defined by a ring and a set of variables with relations between them, we are interesting in finding a criteria and some algorithms which allow us to decide whether an

Computation of the Grothendieck-Witt ring of nonsingular Hermitian forms with positioning map [PDF]
The generalized Grothendieck-Witt ring of nonsingular Hermitian forms with positioning map is the cartesian product of the ordinary Grothendieck-Witt ring of nonsingular Hermitian forms and a map ring.

Witt group of Hermitian forms over a noncommutative discrete valuation ring
We investigate Hermitian forms on finitely generated torsion modules over a noncommutative discrete valuation ring. We also give some results for lattices, which still are satisfied even if the base ring is not commutative. Moreover, for a noncommutative

Small Extensions of Witt Rings [PDF]
We consider certain Witt ring extensions S of a noetherian Witt ring R obtained by adding one new generator. The conditions on the new generator are those known to hold when R is the Witt ring of a Field F, S is the Witt ring of a Field K and K/F is an ...

An abstract Witt ring \((R,G,q)\) is said to be \(k\)-regular if for all \(x \in G\), \(x \neq 1\), the value sets of binary forms satisfy \(|D(1,-x)|= k\). The existence of \(k\)-regular Witt rings is known only for \(k = 2, g/2, g\), where \(g = |G|\). A Witt ring with \(2 < k < g/2\) is said to be exceptional.

On the Witt vector Frobenius [PDF]
We study the kernel and cokernel of the Frobenius map on the $p$-typical Witt vectors of a commutative ring, not necessarily of characteristic $p$. We give some equivalent conditions to surjectivity of the Frobenus map on both finite and infinite length ...
