Springer's theorem for tame quadratic forms over Henselian fields [PDF]
A quadratic form over a Henselian-valued field of arbitrary residue characteristic is tame if it becomes hyperbolic over a tamely ramified extension. The Witt group of tame quadratic forms is shown to be canonically isomorphic to the Witt group of graded

Universal deformation rings and tame blocks [PDF]
Let k be an algebraically closed field of positive characteristic, and let W be the ring of infinite Witt vectors over k. Suppose G is a finite group and B is a block of kG of infinite tame representation type. We find all finitely generated kG-modules V

Witt groups of sheaves on topological spaces
This paper investigates the Witt groups of triangulated categories of sheaves (of modules over a ring R in which 2 is invertible) equipped with Poincare-Verdier duality.

The study of Witt rings of formally real fields in the algebraic theory of quadratic forms has led to a particularly good understanding of the finitely generated torsion free Witt rings. In this paper, we work primarily with a somewhat more general class of rings which can be completely characterized by (binary) matroids.

Almost purity and overconvergent Witt vectors [PDF]
In a previous paper, we stated a general almost purity theorem in the style of Faltings: if R is a ring for which the Frobenius maps on finite p-typical Witt vectors over R are surjective, then the integral closure of R in a finite \'etale extension of R[

This paper gives a new and direct construction of the multi-prime big de Rham-Witt complex which is defined for every commutative and unital ring; the original construction by the author and Madsen relied on the adjoint functor theorem and accordingly ...

Finitely generated Witt rings of elementary type with the product operation form a graded structure with the gradation given by the size of the underlying group of square classes. Modifying slightly the setup, the author obtains an almost free graded structure for which it is possible to find an asymptotic estimate for the number of elements with a ...

Noetherian properties of Fargues-Fontaine curves [PDF]
We establish that the extended Robba rings associated to a perfect nonarchimedean field of characteristic p, which arise in p-adic Hodge theory as certain completed localizations of the ring of Witt vectors, are strongly noetherian Banach rings; that is,

A total of 3378 self‐reported treated and untreated hair samples were analyzed for PTCA and PTeCA by LC‐MS/MS. Moreover, their in vitro formation was assessed in 225 untreated hair by different cosmetic treatments with and without oxidative agents. Data suggest that PTeCA could be a reliable marker for oxidative cosmetic treatments in hair.

Witt groups of Grassmann varieties
We compute the total Witt groups of (split) Grassmann varieties, over any regular base X. The answer is a free module over the total Witt ring of X. We provide an explicit basis for this free module, which is indexed by a special class of Young diagrams,
