Witt Vector Rings and the Relative de Rham Witt Complex [PDF]
In this paper we develop a novel approach to Witt vector rings and to the (relative) de Rham Witt complex. We do this in the generality of arbitrary commutative algebras and arbitrary truncation sets.

Algebraic attack on NTRU using Witt vectors and Gröbner bases
We present an algebraic attack on NTRU (restricted to the case where the parameter q is a power of two) using the method of the Witt vectors proposed by Silverman, Smart and Vercauteren [Springer: 278–298, 2005]; the latter considered only the first two ...

An alternative to Witt vectors [PDF]
The ring of Witt vectors associated to a ring R is a classical tool in algebra. We introduce a ring C(R) which is more easily constructed and which is isomorphic to the ring of Witt vectors W(R) for a perfect F_p-algebra R.

A generalization of the ring of Witt vectors is the Burnside-Witt ring \(W_ G(A)\) whose elements are sequences of elements in \(A\) indexed by conjugacy classes of open subgroups of a profinite group \(G\), introduced by \textit{A. W. M. Dress} and \textit{C. Siebeneicher} [Adv. Math. 70, No. 1, 87-132 (1988; Zbl 0691.13026)]. This paper characterizes

The norm map of Witt vectors [PDF]
We discuss a multiplicative version of the Verschiebung map of Witt vectors that we call the norm.Comment: 7 pages.

Witt vectors as a polynomial functor [PDF]
For every commutative ring $A$, one has a functorial commutative ring $W(A)$ of $p$-typical Witt vectors of $A$, an iterated extension of $A$ by itself. If $A$ is not commutative, it has been known since the pioneering work of L.

The Witt vectors for Green functors
We define twisted Hochschild homology for Green functors. This construction is the algebraic analogue of the relative topological Hochschild homology $THH_{C_n}(-)$, and it describes the $E_2$ term of the K nneth spectral sequence for relative $THH$. Applied to ordinary rings, we obtain new algebraic invariants.

Lifting vector bundles to Witt vector bundles
Let $p$ be a prime, and let $S$ be a scheme of characteristic $p$. Let $n \geq 2$ be an integer. Denote by $\mathbf{W}_n(S)$ the scheme of Witt vectors of length $n$, built out of $S$. The main objective of this paper concerns the question of extending (=
