MPEG-2 to WMV Transcoder With Adaptive Error Compensation and Dynamic Switches

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, 2006
In this paper, we study the problem of video transcoding from MPEG-2 to Windows Media Video (WMV) format, together with several desired functionalities such as bit-rate reduction and spatial resolution downscaling. Based on in-depth analysis of error propagation behavior, we propose two architectures (for different typical application scenarios) that ...

Antiviral activity of Thuja orientalis extracts against watermelon mosaic virus (WMV) on Citrullus lanatus

open access: yesSaudi Journal of Biological Sciences, 2015
Watermelon mosaic potyvirus (WMV) is considered as an important virus infecting watermelon and causing adverse effects on crop productivity. To overcome this problem one of the main objectives of plant breeders is to make these strains less effective in the ability to infect plants by treatment with plant extracts. Due to the advantages of plant tissue

WMV-Algebra and Its Wajsberg's form

2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE), 2015
BL-algebras are basic logic algebras from which logic algebras based on continuous t-norms can be derived, but BL-algebras do not contain the well-known NM-algebras that have been proposed by professor F.Esteva and L.Godo. In the present paper a new kind of logic algebra, WMV-algebra, is introduced that contains both the BL-algebras and NM-algebras ...

Oxalate-induced resistance of muskmelon to WMV-2

open access: yesScience Bulletin, 1999
The treatment of muskmelon cultivar “Wangwenxiang”, which is sensitive to watermelon mosaic virus-2 (WMV-2), with oxalate increases systemic resistance of the cultivar to WMV-2 significantly. The challenge inoculation experiments indicate that the symptom of oxalate-treated plant is much slighter than that of control plants and the virus content is ...

Search for factors involved in the rapid shift in Watermelon mosaic virus (WMV) populations in South-eastern France [PDF]

open access: yesVirus Research, 2011
Watermelon mosaic virus (WMV, genus Potyvirus, family Potyviridae) was reported for the first time in France in 1974, and it is now the most prevalent virus in cucurbit crops. In 2000, new strains referred as 'emerging' (EM) strains were detected in South-eastern France.

Complexity scalable MPEG-2 to WMV transcoder with adaptive error compensation

2006 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2006
In this paper, we study the problem of video transcoding from MPEG-2 to WMV format, together with several desired functionalities such as bit rate reduction etc. We propose two architectures (for different typical application scenarios) that are unique in their complexity scalability and adaptive drifting error control, which in return provide a ...

Evidence for multiple intraspecific recombinants in natural populations of Watermelon mosaic virus (WMV, Potyvirus)

Archives of Virology, 2008
The full-length sequences of 13 isolates of Watermelon mosaic virus (WMV, genus Potyvirus) belonging to the three main molecular groups defined at the capsid level were obtained and compared to 4 sequences available in databases. Many isolates presented evidence for intraspecific recombination, particularly between molecular groups 1 and 2.
