High‐Mobility and Low Carrier Concentration Transparent Conducting Oxide Rear Contact for Bifacial CIGS Solar Cells

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, EarlyView.
This study investigates high‐mobility, low carrier concentration (CC) transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) as back contacts in bifacial Cu (In, Ga)Se2 (CIGS) solar cells. These TCOs enhance rear‐side light absorption in CIGS and external quantum efficiency, improving overall performance by offering high transparency, low reflectance, and maintaining ...

Defect Passivation via Plasma Modification of Lead Halide Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that exposure of perovskite thin films to diffuse coplanar surface barrier discharge nitrogen plasma leads to an increase in photoluminescence, attributed to reduced defect densities. This results in implied open‐circuit voltage improvement of up to 80 mV and finalized solar cell open‐circuit gains up to 60 mV.

Semi‐mechanistic population PK/PD model to aid clinical understanding of myelodysplastic syndromes following treatment with Venetoclax and Azacitidine

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 448-459, March 2025.
Abstract Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) represent a group of bone marrow disorders involving cytopenias, hypercellular bone marrow, and dysplastic hematopoietic progenitors. MDS remains a challenge to treat due to the complex interplay between disease‐induced and treatment‐related cytopenias.

Lessons Learnt From Long‐Term Monitoring of River Restoration in an English Chalk Stream

open access: yesRiver Research and Applications, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT River restoration can be difficult to evaluate due to insufficient monitoring over timescales too short to adequately capture physical and ecological response. To better understand restoration outcomes, this study quantified changes in physical habitat (depth, velocity, substrate composition) and macroinvertebrates at two restoration projects ...

Still on the same page: A gender comparison of the top 100 picture books from the UK and China published 2011–2020

open access: yesChildren &Society, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract As a primary source for the early ages, picture books guide preschool children's gender perception through stories and illustrations. However, previous studies have criticised an overall gender inequality in children's picture books. Compared to the increasing attention on gender diversity in the UK picture book industry, there has been little

Identification of initial vegetation and habitat changes in small temperate fens using remote sensing

open access: yesRemote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, EarlyView.
Temperate fens with only incipient, subtle signs of deterioration can be reliably identified using Sentinel‐2 and aerial imagery, which sensitively detect early productivity‐related structural changes. Abstract Small temperate fens rank among the most endangered habitats in temperate Europe.

Degenerative relationships in lumbar intervertebral discs and facet joints: an MRI-based comparative study of asymptomatic individuals and patients with chronic and intermittent low back pain

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology
Degeneration of intervertebral discs and facet joints are common conditions that are thought to be interrelated. This study aimed to investigate the morphological interplay between disc and facet degeneration, as well as relationships between adjacent ...
