Configuration Design and Kinematic Analysis of RUPU/2UPU Reconfigurable Parallel Mechanism

open access: yesMathematics
The configuration synthesis and kinematic analysis of reconfigurable parallel mechanisms are performed for two motion modes: three-translation (3T) and three-translation-one-rotation (3T1R).

Robotic Control for Human–Robot Collaborative Assembly Based on Digital Human Model and Reinforcement Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a robotic control method for human–robot collaborative assembly based on a biomechanics‐constrained digital human model. Reinforcement learning is used to generate physiologically plausible human motion trajectories, which are integrated into a virtual environment for robot control learning.

Rotational Workspace Expansion of a Planar CDPR with a Circular End-Effector Mechanism Allowing Passive Reconfiguration

open access: yesRobotics, 2019
Cable-Driven Parallel Robots (CDPR) operate over a large positional workspace and a relatively large orientation workspace. In the present work, the expansion of the orientation Wrench Feasible Workspace (WFW) in a planar four-cable passive ...

Hybrid Continuum Robot Designs and Architectures for Healthcare Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Hybrid continuum robots represent an emerging class of flexible manipulators that blend materials, structures, and actuation concepts from the established fields of soft and continuum robotics. This review introduces an accessible framework to distinguish key hybridization approaches, surveys current designs aimed at complex clinical applications, and ...

Dans la conception des salles de régulation du SAMU, pouvoir communiquer est un enjeu de fiabilité de ses missions

open access: yesActivités, 2019
When it was relocated to the new university hospital, the design of the SAMU dispatch center in France (Somme region) France became an object of debate regarding: on the one hand, a theoretical approach to reliability that emerged at the time of its ...

Efficient and Robust Standing Postures of Quadruped Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A calibrated static framework estimates load, optimizes torques, and adapts posture so quadruped robots stand efficiently and robustly under external payloads, achieving up to 50% lower torque demand. Inspired by the natural posture adjustments of animals under external loading, this article presents an optimization‐based framework for minimizing joint

Kinematic Analysis and Synthesis of a 3-URU Pure Rotational Parallel Mechanism with Respect to Singularity and Workspace

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2007
This paper concerns kinematics and dimensional synthesis of a three universal-revolute-universal (3-URU) pure rotational parallel mechanism. The mechanism is composed of a base, a platform and three symmetric limbs consisting of U-R-U joints.

Generalized inattentional blindness from a Global Workspace perspective [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We apply Baars' Global Workspace model of consciousness to inattentional blindness, using the groupoid network method of Stewart et al. to explore modular structures defined by information measures associated with cognitive process.

LLM‐Integrated Human–Robot Interaction System for Microrobots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This paper proposes an LLM‐based control framework for guiding microrobots using human natural language. This framework can convert the natural human speech into safe and executable command sets for reliable navigation in complex environments. The experimental results show high accuracy and robustness in task performance, demonstrating the potential of
