Casimir energy is always indicated as a potential source to generate a traversable wormhole. It is also used to prove the existence of negative energy which can be built in the laboratory.

AbstractCameras, microphones, and other sensors continue to proliferate in the world around us. I offer a new metaphor for conceptualizing these technologies: they are digital wormholes, transmitting representations of human persons between disparate points in space–time.

ASTROPHYSICS OF WORMHOLES [PDF]
We consider the hypothesis that some active galactic nuclei and other compact astrophysical objects may be current or former entrances to wormholes (WHs). A broad mass spectrum for astrophysical WHs is possible. We consider various new models of the static WHs including WHs maintained mainly by an electromagnetic field.

AbstractWormholes are fascinating cosmological objects that can connect two distant regions of the universe. Because of their intriguing nature, constructing a wormhole in a lab seems a formidable task. A theoretical proposal by Greenleafet al.presented a strategy to build a wormhole for electromagnetic waves.

Scalarized Nutty Wormholes [PDF]
We construct scalarized wormholes with a NUT charge in higher curvature theories. We consider both Einstein-scalar-Gauss-Bonnet and Einstein-scalar-Chern-Simons theories, following Brihaye, Herdeiro and Radu, who recently studied spontaneously scalarised Schwarzschild-NUT solutions.

We investigate if theories yielding bouncing cosmological models also generate wormhole solutions. We show that two of them present sensible traversable static wormhole solutions, while for the third possibility such solutions are absent.

We obtain a large class of smooth Lorentzian p-brane wormholes in supergravities in various dimensions. They connect two asymptotically flat spacetimes. In cases where there is no dilaton involved in the solution, the wormhole can connect an AdS_n\times S^m in one asymptotic region to a flat spacetime in the other. We obtain explicit examples for (n,m)=
