Subpicosecond X-ray diffraction
With the advent of ultrashort (subpicosecond) high-power lasers it is now possible to create intense bursts of X-rays with subpicosecond durations. An analysis of the temporal response of diffraction of such X-rays by crystals in both the dynamical and kinematic regime is presented. It is also shown that under certain conditions the temporal resolution

Scanning transmission electron microscopy imaging techniques are an essential tool to document dynamic developments, such as precipitation in aluminum alloys, during in situ heating experiments using transmission electron microscopy. However, in many cases, chemical information is required to interpret complex nanoscale processes.

A laboratory‐scale procedure is developed to evaluate the efficiency of melt‐cleaning and drossing fluxes during aluminium alloy recycling, studying their effects on melt cleanliness and tensile properties of secondary foundry alloys. This work provides a practical tool for foundries and aluminium refiners to assess the efficiency of salt fluxes in ...

Acemetacin cocrystal structures by powder X-ray diffraction
Cocrystals of acemetacin drug (ACM) with nicotinamide (NAM), p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), valerolactam (VLM) and 2-pyridone (2HP) were prepared by melt crystallization and their X-ray crystal structures determined by high-resolution powder X-ray ...
