A systematic cross-search for radio/infrared counterparts of XMM-Newton sources
We present a catalog of cross-correlated radio, infrared and X-ray sources using a very restrictive selection criteria with an IDL-based code developed by us.

Abstract Purpose/objectives Recent technological advancements have increased efficiency for clinical deliverability of online‐adaptive‐radiotherapy (oART). Previous cone‐beam‐computed‐tomography (CBCT) generations lacked the ability to provide reliable Hounsfield‐units (HU), thus requiring oART workflows to rely on synthetic‐CT (sCT) images derived ...

X-Ray Polarized View of the Accretion Geometry in the X-Ray Binary Circinus X-1
Cir X-1 is a neutron star X-ray binary characterized by strong variations in flux during its eccentric ∼16.6 day orbit. There are also strong variations in the spectral state, and it has historically shown both atoll and Z state properties.

Low-luminosity X-ray sources and the Galactic ridge X-ray emission
Using the XMM-Newton Slew Survey, we construct a hard-band selected sample of low-luminosity Galactic X-ray sources. Two source populations are represented, namely coronally-active stars and binaries (ASBs) and cataclysmic variables (CVs), with X-ray ...

Populations of X-Ray Sources in Galaxies
Today's sensitive X-ray observations allow the study of populations of X-ray binaries in galaxies as distant as 20–30 Mpc. Photometric diagrams and luminosity functions applied to these populations provide a direct probe of the evolved binary component of different stellar populations.

THE BRIGHTEST CLUSTER X-RAY SOURCES [PDF]
There have been several recent claims of black hole binaries in globular clusters. I show that these candidate systems could instead be ultracompact X-ray binaries (UCXBs) in which a neutron star accretes from a white dwarf. They would represent a slightly earlier evolutionary stage of known globular cluster UCXBs such as 4U 1820--30, with white dwarf ...

Abstract Purpose Single‐isocenter multitarget (SIMT) radiosurgery has become increasingly popular as advancement in planning and delivery systems have made this approach clinically viable. With targets varying in size and distance from isocenter, SIMT plans are highly complex with dynamic multileaf collimator (MLC) motion.

Fast X-ray transients (FXTs) are a new observational class of phenomena with no clear physical origin. This is at least partially a consequence of limited multiwavelength follow-up of this class of transients in real time.

Linking burst-only X-ray binary sources to faint X-ray transients
Burst-only sources are X-ray sources showing up only during short bursts but with no persistent emission (at least with the monitoring instrument which led to their discovery).
