XAFS Data Interchange: A single spectrum XAFS data file format

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2016
We propose a standard data format for the interchange of XAFS data. The XAFS Data Interchange (XDI) standard is meant to encapsulate a single spectrum of XAFS along with relevant metadata.

Coupling between γ-irradiation and synchrotron-radiation-based XAFS techniques for studying Mn-doped ZnO nanoparticles

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, 2022
γ-Irradiation and synchrotron-radiation-based X-ray absorption fine-structure (XAFS) spectroscopy have been used to induce structure disorder through the interaction of γ-rays (200 kGy) with fabricated Mn-doped ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) and then to examine

A polycrystalline diamond micro-detector for X-ray absorption fine-structure measurements

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, 2022
The microminiaturization of detectors used to record the intensity of X-ray beams is very favorable for combined X-ray experimental techniques. In this paper, chemical-vapor-deposited (CVD) polycrystalline diamond film was used to fabricate a micro ...

Revisiting the crystal structure of the equilibrium S (Al2CuMg) phase in Al–Cu–Mg alloys using X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAFS) [PDF]

open access: yesMaterialia, 2019
Even though, the crystal structure of the intermediate (S') and the equilibrium S (Al2CuMg) phase were subject of many investigations by using mostly imaging or diffraction techniques, the results remain still controversial.

Dispersion and stability mechanism of Pt nanoparticles on transition-metal oxides

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
The heterogeneous catalysts of Pt/transition-metal oxides are typically synthesized through calcination at 500 °C, and Pt nanoparticles are uniformly and highly dispersed when hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is applied before calcination.

Oxybarometry and valence quantification based on microscale X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) spectroscopy of multivalent elements

open access: yes, 2020
X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) spectroscopy has proven to be a valuable tool in defining valence states of multivalent elements in minerals and glasses that can then be used as oxybarometry proxies. First row transition multivalent elements Ti, V,
