CitB is required for full virulence of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae

World Journal of Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2015
To identify novel virulence associated genes in Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo), a Xoo isolate (XooIR42), obtained from north of Iran, was selected to generate a mini-Tn5 transposon mutation library. One mutant (XooM176) that indicated reduced virulence on rice plants, while grew similar to wild type was selected.

[Detection and identification of Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae and Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola by real-time fluorescent PCR].

Wei sheng wu xue bao = Acta microbiologica Sinica, 2009
A novel and sensitive real time PCR was developed to detection Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae and Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola, which cause the bacteria leaf blight (BLB) and leaf streak respectively, Universal and specific TaqMan probes, which were designed based on the sequence of Putative siderophore receptor gene cds were used to detect 13 ...

Rice Somaclones Resistant to Xanthomonas oryzae

1991
Xanthomonas oryzae Dowson causes leaf blight which is one of the most important bacterial diseases in rice. Recently, the area endangered by this disease has extended and chemical control has proved poor, so that the increase of the rice yield in China has been threatened.

OsWRKY7 contributes to pattern-triggered immunity against Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications
Rice is a staple crop continually threatened by bacterial and fungal pathogens. OsWRKY transcription factors are involved in various disease responses. However, the functions of many OsWRKYs are still elusive. In this study, we demonstrated that OsWRKY7 enhances rice immunity against Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae (Xoo). OsWRKY7 localized in the nucleus,
