Isolation and identification of the antagonistic bacteria against Xanthomonas spp. causing the leaf spot from Rosa spp.

open access: yesCan Tho University Journal of Science, 2022
Three out of 203 bacterial isolates showed high antagonistic activity by in vitro screening against three strains of Xanthomonas spp. causing leaf spots from Rosa spp.. Antagonistic bacteria were collected from the rhizosphere substrate of potted rose in Sa Dec Flower Village of Dong Thap province, Viet Nam.

The Factors Involved in Plant–Insect–Microbe Interactions Expanded: Genome Analysis and Description of Frigoribacterium adelgis sp. nov.

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology Reports, Volume 18, Issue 1, February 2026.
Aerobic Actinobacteria belonging to the genus Frigoribacterium were isolated from adelgid Adelges (Aphrastasia) pectinatae collected from a Korean fir tree. Genomic analysis showed that these bacteria encode a range of factors that may be involved in the interactions between Frigoribacterium strains, adelgids and/or Korean fir trees.

Diffusible Signal Factor (DSF)-dependent quorum sensing in pathogenic bacteria and its exploitation for disease control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Cell-to-cell signals of the Diffusible Signal Factor (DSF) family are cis-2-unsaturated fatty acids of differing chain length and branching pattern. DSF signalling has been described in diverse bacteria to include plant and human pathogens where it acts ...
