Thermodynamics of Liquid Mixtures of Xenon with Alkanes:  (Xenon + Ethane) and (Xenon + Propane) [PDF]

open access: possibleThe Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2000
Total vapor pressures for liquid mixtures of xenon + ethane at 161.40 and 182.34 K and of xenon + propane at 161.40, 182.34, and 195.49 K have been measured. Both systems show negative deviations from Raoult's law at all temperatures. The corresponding excess molar Gibbs energies ( ) have been calculated from the vapor pressure results.

Xenon 5d emission in pure xenon and xenon doped argon

Chemical Physics Letters, 1978
Abstract The radiative of Xe 5d ( 3 2 ) 1 states in photoexcited Xe and Xe doped Ar is investigated. The Xe 5d fluorescence contains new information about the deactivation of highly excited states of Xe and about the energy transfer from Ar to Xe.

Surface assisted xenon-xenon bonding?

The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1991
An idea for forming noble gas atom-noble gas atom bonds on a surface is explored theoretically, for Xe on Pd. The notion is that interaction with the surface should withdraw electrons from the top of the forming Xe 5p band, thus allowing Xe-Xe bonding, truly compressed structures.
