PHF1 is a known epigenetic regulator involved in transcriptional silencing in cancer. In this study, we identified PHF1 as an oncogene that promotes PDAC progression and demonstrated that its inhibition induces ferroptosis. Mechanistically, PHF1 physically interacts with the FBL/NOP56/NOP58 snoRNP complex to enhance the IRES‐dependent translation of ...

Pim-2 signal pathway inhibits apoptosis of prostate cancer cells
Objective To explore the mechanism by which Pim-2 signal pathway inhibits apoptosis of prostate cancer cells. Methods We examined the expression levels of Pim-2 and the downstream factors in prostate cancer tissues, benign prostatic hyperplasia tissues ...

Upon chemotherapy, a subset of cancer cells enters a senescent state, referred to as TIS. When IAP antagonists are administered, TIS cells are selectively eliminated through TNFα‐independent apoptosis. TNFα secreted by TIS cancer cells may also act in a paracrine manner to enhance extrinsic apoptosis in neighboring non‐senescent cancer cells.

Proteomics and functional validation reveal ITGA5 as a dual promoter of epithelial‐mesenchymal transition and anoikis resistance in human bronchial epithelium: targeting ITGA5 represents a novel therapeutic strategy for asthma airway remodelling. ABSTRACT Airway remodelling is a major contributor to persistent airflow limitation and irreversible lung ...

Cytochrome P450 1B1 (CYP1B1) is a key enzyme that catalyzes the metabolism of 17β-estradiol (E2) into catechol estrogens, such as 2-hydroxyestradiol (2-OHE2) and 4-hydroxyestradiol (4-OHE2). CYP1B1 is related to tumor formation and is over-expressed in a variety of cancer cells.

Abstract Chronic pain, marked by nociceptive sensitization and maladaptive neuroplasticity, affects 30% of the global population with escalating socioeconomic burdens. Epidemiological data show a 2‐3‐fold increase in neuropsychiatric co‐morbidities among individuals with chronic pain, where epigenetic dysregulation serves as a key mechanism linking ...

UGA4 and YBR062C Regulate Oxidative Stress Tolerance Under Heavy Metal Toxicity
Under heavy metal stress, global cap‐dependent translation is compromised. However, expression of URE2, a key gene involved in cellular tolerance to heavy metal toxicity, is maintained through an internal ribosome entry site (IRES)–mediated mode of translation.

Neddylation Targets and Stabilizes NLRP3 to Augment Inflammasome‐Mediated Colitis and Mood Disorder
NLRP3 inflammasome contributes to colitis and mood disorder. This study demonstrates that neddylation targets NLRP3 at K287, which hinders its interaction with K48‐linked ubiquitination E3 Trim31 and thereby stabilizes it. Neddylation blockade in myeloid cells and microglia mitigates DSS‐induced colitis and psychological stress‐induced anxiety‐like ...
