XOS

ACM SIGOPS Operating Systems Review, 1981
This paper describes the fundamentals of the X-TREE Operating System (XOS), a system developed to investigate the effects of the X-TREE architecture on operating system design. It outlines the goals and constraints of the project and describes the major features and modules of XOS. Two concepts are of special interest: The first is demand paging across

XoS

Proceedings of the 2nd International Workshop on Software-Defined Ecosystems, 2015
This paper describes XOS, a cloud operating system designed to manage hardware and software resources across a multi-tiered cloud. XOS raises the level of abstraction in an IaaS cloud architecture by elevating scalable software services to first-class objects.

An XO cat

Cytogenetic and Genome Research, 1974
An orange female kitten born to a blue-and-white queen that had been mated to a tortoise-shell torn had a chromosome count of 37 and a karyotype consistent with an XO sex-chromosome constitution. The kitten lived only three days. Co-arctation of the aorta was found.

???????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????? ???????????????? ???????????????? NiCrxFe??????xO???

2021
Nickel-chrome ferrites with the general formula NiCrxFe??????xO??? (x = 0.0; 0.1; 0.2; 0.3; 0.4 and 0.5) were obtained using low-temperature technology sol-gel with participation of auto-combustion. The hysteresis loop of the samples has proved that the samples are soft magnetic material because of their low coercivity which at 77 K is in the range ...

XO and Male Phenotype

Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, 1974
A 7-month-old child with normal male external genitalia and normal, descended testicles had a 45,X karyotype in blood, skin, and testis cultures. He was mentally retarded and had a variety of bone alterations indicating disturbances of growth and ossifications.

XO/XY Chromosome Mosaicism

The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 1963
A phenotypic female with clitoral enlargement was shown by chromosomal analysis of peripheral blood leukocytes to be an XO/XY mosaic. Histologically, the intra-abdominal gonads were dysgenetic testes. Tissue cultures from 2 areas of skin, uterus and both gonads revealed mosaicism in only 2 of the sites (one area of skin and one gonad).

Teratogen susceptibility of XO mothers and XO embryos in mice

Teratology, 1989
AbstractWe examined whether the chromosomal imbalance inherent in an XO constitution in mice is more susceptible to teratogenic influence of biotin deficiency using a newly established mouse colony with pure X monosomy. We hypothesized that XO mothers or XO embryos might be more susceptible to certain teratogens.

Structural, electronic, optical and thermodynamic properties of SrxCa1−xO, BaxSr1−xO and BaxCa1−xO alloys

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2011
Abstract The structural, electronic, optical and thermodynamic properties of Sr x Ca 1− x O, Ba x Sr 1− x O and Ba x Ca 1− x O ternary alloys in NaCl phase were studied using pseudo-potential plane-wave method within the density functional theory.

The neck in the XO and XX/XO mosaic Turner's syndrome

Clinical Genetics, 1974
An attempt to document both the clinical appearance of the neck and the roentgenographic findings of the cervical vertebrae in 15 cytogenetically diagnosed cases of the Turner syndrome rcvealed the following findings: 11 had webbed necks, 13 patients had short necks, and of those, 10 had a short and webbed neck. Fourteen patients had a low hairline, of

XO

2004
This important monograph offers a resolution to the debate in theoretical linguistics over the role of syntactic head movement in word formation. It does so by synthesizing the syntactic and lexicalist approaches on the basis of the empirical data that support each side.
