A phenotypic female with clitoral enlargement was shown by chromosomal analysis of peripheral blood leukocytes to be an XO/XY mosaic. Histologically, the intra-abdominal gonads were dysgenetic testes. Tissue cultures from 2 areas of skin, uterus and both gonads revealed mosaicism in only 2 of the sites (one area of skin and one gonad).

Teratology, 1989AbstractWe examined whether the chromosomal imbalance inherent in an XO constitution in mice is more susceptible to teratogenic influence of biotin deficiency using a newly established mouse colony with pure X monosomy. We hypothesized that XO mothers or XO embryos might be more susceptible to certain teratogens.

Computer Simulation Studies of Fe1-xO and Mn1-xO
1989We show how a combination of static simulation techniques and a mass-action treatment of defect equilibria may be used to study the defect structure of Mn1-xO, and to calculate the variation of x with p(O2). We find a defect model including 4:1 clusters with a variety of charge states may reproduce the observed behaviour.
