Xp11.2 translocation tumor is a rare but aggressive form of renal cell carcinoma that predominantly occurs in children but also may be found in young adults. Because this type of cancer is diagnosed via histologic and chromosomal analysis, clinicians should consider translocation tumor in the differential diagnosis of patients with renal lesions and ...

Renal Cell Carcinoma Associated With Xp11.2 Translocations, Report of a Case
Urology, 2010Renal cell carcinomas (RCCs) associated with Xp11.2 translocations (Xp11.2 translocation RCCs) are rare and occur predominantly in children and adolescents. A case of such tumor in a 12-year boy is reported. Grossly the cut surface of the ill-defined mass was polychromatic, containing areas of hemorrhage and necrosis.

Radiologic–pathologic correlation of renal cell carcinoma associated with Xp11.2 translocation
Acta Radiologica, 2013Background The prognosis of translocation RCCs in adult patients is relatively poor compared to that of other subtypes of RCCs. Although there have been several reports regarding radiologic findings of translocation RCC, studies with histologic correlation could help to understand the imaging features.

Renal Cell Carcinoma with Xp11.2 Translocation in a 7-Year-Old Boy
Klinische Pädiatrie, 2010More than 90% of pediatric renal tumors are nephroblastomas while renal cell carcinomas (RCC) are rare in children (< 5%).According to the clinical diagnoses of a nephroblastoma stage IV a 7-year-old boy with a kidney tumor and peripheral pulmonary lesion was preoperatively treated for 8 weeks with Vincristine, Actinomycin D and Adriamycin.

Renal carcinomas associated with Xp11.2 translocations: Are CT findings suggestive of the diagnosis?
Clinical Radiology, 2014The purpose of the present study was to summarize the computed tomography (CT) features of renal carcinomas associated with Xp11.2 translocations, and determine whether the diagnosis can be reliably deduced from imaging findings.Radiological studies of six patients (aged from 9-29 years) with renal carcinoma associated with Xp11.2 translocations were ...

Pediatric Renal Cell Carcinoma Associated With Xp11.2 Translocation/TFE3 Gene Fusion
International Journal of Surgical Pathology, 2008Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) in children and young adults is rare and pathologically problematic. RCC can be either hereditary or sporadic and has a guarded prognosis because appropriate management has not been established. A case of RCC in an 11-year-old is reported.

[Research advances in Xp11.2 translocation renal cell carcinoma].
Ai zheng = Aizheng = Chinese journal of cancer, 2010Xp11.2 translocation renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is a newly identified category of RCC described in the 2004 WHO Classification of Kidney Tumors. Although the incidence is very rare, it accounts about one third of pediatric RCCs. It is different from other RCCs in clinical manifestations, histopathologic features, biological behaviour and prognosis.

Long-term outcomes of children with Xp11.2 translocation renal cell carcinoma.
Journal of Clinical Oncology, 20129569 Background: We aimed to assess the clinico-pathological characteristics and the long-term prognosis of Xp11.2 translocation renal cell carcinoma (Xp-RCC) in children. Methods: A total of 52 Japanese children with renal tumors were presented to our institutions.
