The β-xylosidase production by yeastCryptococcus podzolicus
Russian Journal of Bioorganic Chemistry, 2000In studying the β-xylosidase production by yeastCryptococcus podzolicus (Basidiomycetes), it was shown to be an inducible secretory enzyme. Xylooligosaccharides generated from xylan and methyl β-xyloside were found to induce the β-xylosidase synthesis.

Purification and characterization of ?-xylosidase from Aureobasidium pullulans
Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 1991β-Xylosidase was obtained from Aureobasidium pullulans CBS 58475 with an activity of 0.35 units/ml culture filtrate. The production of the enzyme was strongly inducible. β-Xylosidase was purified in two steps by anion exchange and gel-permeation chromatography to high purity.

β-Xylosidase/β-glucosidase of Chaetomium trilaterale
1988Publisher Summary This chapter describes a purification procedure and some enzymatic properties for β-xylosidase from Chaetomium trilaterale strain B. Although the C. trilaterale enzyme may be a β-glucosidase with β-xylosidase activity, it is called the enzyme “xylosidase”.
