Influence of core yarn structure and yarn count on yarn elastic properties

Textile Research Journal, 2022
This work aims to compare the effects of different yarn structures on the elastic properties. A new type of elastic core-spun yarn which is called tri-core (elastane/T400/elastane) yarn is introduced and tested for elastic properties after cyclic loading. The other yarn structures used are single-core/T400, single-core/lycra, dual-core (elastane/T400)

Properties of hybrid yarn made of paper yarn and filament yarn

Fibers and Polymers, 2017
A paper yarn is recently spotlighted as a new textile material due to its inherent excellent properties such as antibiotic, deodorant, moisture retaining, and absorbency-quick drying properties. However, its poor flexibility and low elongation cause some disadvantages of cut-off and difficulty in tension control in the knitting process.

Properties of Blend Yarns

Textile Research Journal, 1979
Two properties of blended yarns are of high importance from the wearer's point of view: aesthetic appearance and elastic recovery. To predict the appearance of yarn after it is dyed in finished goods, a method is proposed that con sists of dyeing yarn in the laboratory with a dye of different affinity to component fibers. Next, the lengths of segments

Electrophysical properties of antistatic yarns

Fibre Chemistry, 1992
The decisive factors in removing static electrical charges are these: -- the distribution of the conducting component on the surface of the yarn; -- the linear density of the electrically conducting yarns; -- and the distance between the electrically conducting yarns in textile materials.

Wrapped-yarn reinforced composites: Part I—yarn properties

Composites Science and Technology, 1985
Abstract Various continuous filament cores helically wrapped with a paper tape have been produced for use in yarn reinforced composites. Yarn cross-sections showed that the wrap is subjected to large longitudinal and lateral strains when it is substantially overlapped.

YARN-TO-YARN AND YARN-TO-METAL FRICTION IN RELATION TO SOME PROPERTIES OF YARN

2013

SLUB YARN MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY ANDA STUDY ON YARN PROPERTIES

2013
Nowadays, because of high competititon in textile industry firms are forced to manufacture high value added and fashionable textile products in order to keep their positions or to improve in national and international area. Fancy yarns and slub yarns as a kind of fancy yarns must have been payed attention in view of mentioned point above.

Investigation of fancy yarn properties considering binder yarn

Melliand international, 2012
The investigation of the influence of binder yarn properties to the tensile properties of the fancy bouclé yarns brought up the following concluding remarks: - The yarns of different count in a higher amount affect the elongation rather than breaking force.
