Rubioideae tribe Rubieae consists of 18 genera, i.e., Asperula, Callipeltis, Castrila, Crucianella, Cruciata, Cynanchica, Didymaea, Galium, Hexaphylla, Kelloggia, Mericarpaea, Microphysa, Phuopsis, Pseudogalium, Rubia, Sherardia, Thliphthisa and Valantia.
