Estimating Milk Yield of Sows

Journal of Animal Science, 1984
Hourly milk yields were obtained for nine consecutive hours at d 14 of lactation from 92 crossbred (four breed) sows during their first and second lactations. Additionally, milk yields were obtained at d 14 and 20 of lactation from 175 mature Yorkshire X Landrace sows for nine consecutive hours.

Yield estimation in papaya

Indian Journal of Horticulture, 2016
Fruit yield is an important parameter recorded in many experiments on papaya (Carica papaya L.). Yield measurement is a time consuming procedure of weighing individually the harvested fruits throughout the harvesting season. Therefore, present experiment was conducted on twelve uniformly fruited plants of a near-homozygous dioecious papaya line, Pune ...

On estimating lactation yield

The Journal of Agricultural Science, 1984
is generally used to describe the lactation curve in cattle, where yn (kg) is the average daily milk yield in the nth week of lactation (n = 1, 2, 3, …, N), a is a scale parameter, and b and c are shape parameters. The model was first proposed by Wood (1967) and is widely used in practice to describe the lactation curve for fat, protein, lactose and ...

Estimating cell and product yields

Biotechnology and Bioengineering, 1989
AbstractThe balance equations for carbon, reduction potential, and energy during cell growth and product formation are rederived in a general form. Cells are treated simply as a very complex product, and the YATP concept is extended to products. Limitations on the theoretical yield are discussed for different product types.

Yield Estimation and Prediction

1990
Due to inherent fluctuations in any integrated circuit manufacturing process, the yield (which is nominally viewed as the ratio of the number of chips that perform correctly, i.e., meet all performance specifications, to the number of chips manufactured) is always less than 100%.

Via Distribution Model for Yield Estimation

7th International Symposium on Quality Electronic Design (ISQED'06), 2006
In this paper, we propose a via distribution model for yield estimation. The proposed model expresses a relationship between the number of vias and wire length. We can also estimate the total number of vias in a circuit, which is derived from the via distribution and the wire-length distribution.

Estimating variation in IC yield estimates

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1986
Many methods have been proposed for obtaining IC yield estimates as IC areas increase. These estimates are by their very nature variable. The variability of the proposed yield estimates has not yet been discussed in the literature. The author describes a method for deriving formulas for the variance and standard deviation of yield estimates, using ...

Estimation of Crop Yields for Small Areas

Biometrics, 1966
SUMMARY While the random sampling crop cutting surveys developed by I.C.A.R. are being followed in the States to provide crop yield estimates with a reasonable degree of precision at the district level, there is now a pressing demand for estimation of crop yields for each development block, which is a much smaller area. The simple crop-cutting approach

Automated Visual Yield Estimation in Vineyards

Journal of Field Robotics, 2014
We present a vision system that automatically predicts yield in vineyards accurately and with high resolution. Yield estimation traditionally requires tedious hand measurement, which is destructive, sparse in sampling, and inaccurate. Our method is efficient, high‐resolution, and it is the first such system evaluated in realistic experimentation over ...
