A method for yield estimation

Mathematical communications. Supplement, 2001
The problem of yield estimation in plants and animal production is considered. The estimation should be done as early and as exactly as possible. For that purpose the well--known asymptotic growth models are used: general exponential model, von Bertalanffy model, logistic and generalized logistic model.

Estimation of Genetic Diversity for Yield and Yield Components in Pearl Millet

Journal of Experimental Agriculture International
Pearl millet [Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br.] is one of the most significant cultivated cereals. It demonstrates remarkable genetic diversity due to its wide distribution across the globe and its adaptability to harsh environmental conditions. A multi-location experiment was conducted in Srikakulam (Location 1), Vizianagaram (Location 2), and ...

Liquidity and Yield Curve Estimation

Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, 2012
This paper examines the effect of incorporating liquidity into the Nelson-Siegel-Svensson model from the perspective of out-of-sample forecasting ability and trading performance. The liquidity consideration reduces the distortion from concentrated trading activities and significantly increases the forecasting ability of the dynamic curve-fitting model.

Multivariate Calibration and Yield Estimation

1992
Abstract : Calibration of the linear magnitude-yield relation and estimation of yields from subsequent vector magnitudes is studied from the classical and Bayesian points of view. Calibration regressions are developed using (1) sampled magnitude-yield pairs, (2) sampled pairs and prior information and (3) sampled magnitudes and CORRTEX measurements ...
